Dr. Kuehlwein joined Animal Health Services in 1983, she purchased the practice from the previous owner in 1998. She has a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State University and Washington State University.
She has taken advanced training in using frequency specific laser therapy to treat medical problems. Dr. Kuehlwein provides medical and surgical care for dogs and cats but has a special interest in treating birds and exotics.
She shares her home with two dogs, three cats, two bearded dragons, a chinchilla, a rabbit, a pigeon, a cockatiel, and a guinea pig.
Dr. Erin Lillevold
Dr. Lillevold is our associate veterinarian that has been with us since 2002. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2001.
She spends her spare time with her 2 children. She currently has a miniature Australian Shepherd, one Chihuahua, one Pug/Pom mix, and 4 domestic short hair cats.
Dr. Lara Amata
Dr. Amata is an associate veterinarian who joined us in 2013. She is a long-time resident of Kelso, graduating from Kelso High School in 2000. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh Scotland veterinary school in 2010.
She enjoys fishing, archery, and horseback riding and practices equine medicine in Cowlitz County part time. She is a pet parent to one adopted dog from Scotland, Bravo, and two cats, Attie and Amie.
Licensed Veterinary Technician/ Hospital Manager
Wileen is a licensed veterinary technician who began volunteering at Animal Health Services while in college and came to work as a regular staff member in June 1987. She especially enjoys working with the bird and exotic patients.
Wileen volunteers her time as a local 4-H leader and is the rabbit barn superintendent at two local fairs. She and her husband have 5 sons and currently share their home with 4 cats and 2 parrots.
Licensed Veterinary Technician/ Bookkeeper
Carma is a licensed technician that came to us in 1999. She has been in the veterinary field for over 33 years.
She currently has 4 dogs and 4 very demanding cats that take up most of her time.
Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist/ Groomer
Denise has worked in the veterinary field for the last 30 years, and has groomed for over 25 years. She started her career in Canada, moved to California, and has now been in Longview for over 20 years.
She has a Chihuahua named Lilly and a Standard Poodle named Daisy. Along with the dogs there are three cats, Allie, Gracie, and Luna.
Lynda came to Animal Health Services from a temp agency in 2004 and never left.
She currently shares her home with two cats.
Kyla came to us fresh out of high school and she fit so well that she has been here ever since. She is one of the first faces you will see when you walk in the door.
She spends her time with her three adorable cats and her lab puppy.
Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist
Whitney has been working in the veterinary field for the past 7 years. She started working with us in September 2008.
Whitney’s 65 lb Staffordshire Terrier, Thor, is her big baby while her 25 lb Jack Russell Terrier mix thinks she is the toughest dog in the world. Whitney claims two cats, Cooter and Goober, and also has a rose haired tarantula.
Sami has been with us for 5 years, and has been in the veterinary business for 8 years. She may be quiet, but she is very friendly.
Sami has two dogs and three cats.
Veterinary Attendant/ Maintenance Supervisor
Collin is sadly no longer working for us, he has moved on, but we still consider him family.
D.J. was our client first and applied to work here as soon as we had an opening. She fills in wherever she is needed, in the front or in the back.
She shares her life with her two beloved Boxers and two cats.
Laura first joined Animal Health Services doing job shadowing while working on her high school senior project. She became an official staff member in 2003. Laura is now a fully licesnsed veterinary technician. She has one cat and two of the most spoiled and well cared for guinea pigs you will ever meet.
Kennel Attendant/Veterinary Assistant
Angie is new to us this year. She came to us from Oregon, and she currently has one pitbull X named Bella.

Chase is also new to us this year. He currently is going to high school and only working part time in the afternoons after school. He spends his spare time playing soccer, and snow boarding. As busy as he is he still finds time for school work and is an honor student.
Mickey has been with us part time for a year now. She originally came to job shadow while in high school. She is now in college and only works on Saturdays. She grew up with multiple animals, especially cats.
